3D printer

I remember a period of time before we talked about 3D printer print "3D guns" and today I saw the news about the technology in that video which makes me feel surprised again. So, what is that? From this news you will know that this technology is that an artist use fantastic method to paint photo-realistic aquatic life in three dimensions. Singapore artist Keng Lye uses paint and resin to create incredibly lifelike 3D representations of life under the water.

The first picture in the news is an octopus in a bowl and it surrounded by the clear water. It looks like a real living being or a sculpture, but you know what? It is just a painting! Undeniable, it’s a wonderful painting and you even do not want to believe that it is just a painting. And maybe you will exclaim that “wow, this is breathtakingly good!”

And the second and third pictures are still very insane. Both in color and shape are lifelike and vivid. It is said that the technique involves starting with a container and pouring in thin layers of clear resin. When each layer dries, the next "slice" of the creature is painted on and allowed to dry before the next layer is poured. I feel it is really hard to imagine and I simply don’t entangled with specific production methods.

When you want to print something, you just draw the three-dimensional model in the computer, and then the computer will control the machine directly to make laser powder processing, eventually, the machine can print out an object which you want. In our impression, the printer can print 2D only, so the 3D printer’ works is amazing just like the 3D painting.
