Amazon Beats Apple As Most Trusted Company in U.S.: Harris Poll

            A recent poll shows that Apple is no longer the most trusted company in America.  For years apple was the most innovative company in the world.  They were so far ahead of other companies that their products seemed almost futuristic. Recently however, Apple’s reputation has fallen and along with it their stock value has as well.

            In their absence, Amazon has taken over as the number one most trustworthy company.  “There’s no doubt that having an array of products and services at the right price is valuable,” explains Fronk. “But they take that advantage and actually use a lot of the information that they’re able to define about their consumers and make recommendations back to them, help them lead a better life, and even delight them on occasion.”  Fronk believes that amazon uses the information it gains about people to give them other shopping suggestions and people like that. 

Later on in the article it says that people trust amazon to use their information properly.  People trust amazon to not steal their credit card number in part because they are such a big company that if they started doing this they would be easily busted.  Also amazon only uses its information about you to suggest things to you on amazon.  Lastly, most people are satisfied with the products they receive from amazon.

Overall I think that Amazon has taken over because they have the largest variety.  It is a little scary to think that they have all this information, but I agree with others that they use it to only gain more business for themselves.  I think Amazon deserves to be the most trusted company in America.
